BRGY. TAGBAYAON, JIABONG,SAMAR PHILIPPINES

Dear fellow Cavers,

Samar Island famous of its biggest limestone deposits, largest and deepest caves in the country; rich of culture and hospitable friendly people is a paradise of cavers. Its eye catching environment could lead you into a great adventure and clean fun.

A few kilometers drive from the Catbalogan, the capital of Samar lays the Municipality of Jiabong known to be the “Mussels Capital” of Samar. It is rich in natural resources and a great haven of real, exciting and extreme adventure. Behind its fast faced mussels livelihood lies a perfect summer ending get away wherein you can witness their own lineage of caves and experience the most beautiful caves in the Philippines.

We are inviting you on the 7TH JIABONG CAVING EXPLORATION on JUNE 8-10,2012 (Friday-Sunday). Come and explore Jiabongs’ hidden paradise and discover Panaghoyan, Lobo, Everest, Napon-od and Kamanaog caves.

Have you ever thought it would be cool to be the first human to see an amazing and beautiful part of our planet and then get to name it anything you want?

Do you dream of helping to save part of the nature and even rainforest?

Would you like to know more about caves, caving and Jiabong,Samar?

If you say yes to any of those questions, explore this web site! It was made for our 2007 caving in the Jiabong caving expedition in Samar, Philippines. We then searched for unknown caves to explore and map in the Philippines of Samar Island. We found some awesome caves, and had some incredible adventures! They're all here for your perusing pleasure. And while you're at it, you'll learn more about caves, and our place in Samar "Trexplore the Adventure Project" expeditions.

Enter, and you'll find pictures of amazing caves, and death-defying adventure. Everyone can find lessons on caves . . . Jiabong Caves can be decorated with outrageously beautiful formations or contain ancient historic relics, weird animals, and streams. Excitement is also available in many forms: long rappels into the darkness alongside a deafening waterfall, scary climbs over empty space, or tight squeezes through holes so small that you have to take your shirt off and force the air out of your lungs to push through. But for many cavers, the most important thing that caves provide is the chance to go where no one else has ever been. In the modern world, true exploration is rare. Unless you are an astronaut, an exceptional mountain climber, or have access to a deep sea bathyscaph, caves may provide your only option to be the first to explore part of our world.

We invite you to browse our web site to see a detailed list and description of the outdoor activities we offer. Please contact us by email or call and speak to one of our reservation specialists.

The team at “Trexplore The Adventures” invites you to join us in the beautiful Jiabong cave expedition on one of our many outdoor adventures.

The following links will lead you how caves are formed, how cave formations grow, how caves are found and explored, what kinds of creatures live in caves, and how we make maps of caves. Keep exploring and you'll find cave pictures that will blow your mind, and cave that amaze with their length and complexity. And the great thing about it all is that anyone can do it.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

We would like you to shoulder your own food for the duration of the trip. Bring also with you Caving equipments: like caving helmets, suits or clothes, headlights, flashlights, candles, dry bags, buoyancy aid, garbage bags extra batteries and bulbs, and Camping equipments: like tents, sleeping mat and sleeping bags, camping stoves and cook set, trekking shoes and trekking sandals, camera etc.... and don't forget to bring a sense of adventure / fun / humor / enthusiasm and flexible attitude!
